Sharper Edge Regenerative Orthopedics is a leader in regenerative medicine offering PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy and stem cell therapy in Wisconsin.
Why Try Stem Cell or PRP Therapy
Are you tired of using NSAIDs – and risking ulcers – or using addictive narcotics for pain management – only to deal with side effects such as constipation, altered sleep patterns and decreased testosterone levels? Or have you tried steroid or visco-supplementation injections without long-term success?
It may be time for you to consider stem cell therapies or PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy – two cutting-edge procedures that have the potential to repair injured, torn or arthritic tissue. Up until recently, there has not been many options to attempt to replace damaged cells and potentially restore normal function to various body systems. That’s changing.
How Stem Cell and PRP Therapy Works
Stem cell therapy and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections at our Wisconsin clinic use your body’s own adipose tissue or bone marrow.
Stem cells can be derived from two sources – your own bone marrow or from donated tissue. Once collected, these cells are injected back into the painful, damaged arthritic joint. The stem cells and their chemical messengers may work toward restoring function and/or relieving pain by rebuilding cartilage or tissue. All our procedures are in-office/same-day at our clinic.
Alpha 2 Macroglobulin is a naturally occurring protein that inhibits the painful, destructive enzymes found in arthritic joints. Some patients are unable to produce enough of this protective enzyme resulting in accelerated joint destruction. In just under an hour, we isolate this protein from the patient’s own blood and inject it into painful joints, stopping the destructive process and alleviating pain often for periods of time much longer than traditional joint injections.
Are You a Candidate for Stem Cell Therapy or A2M Injections?
Sometimes other pain-relieving modalities such as medications by mouth, injections or physical therapy have already been tried and have failed to provide any measure of relief. If this is you, stem cell therapy and injections of Alpha 2 Macroglobulin might just be the answer!
The use of stem cells or A2M injections in Wisconsin are also an option for patients who are too young for artificial joint replacement or too ill to undergo these large, invasive surgeries.
